- Climate modelling, specifically the parametrization of radiative, convective
and cloud processes and their interaction.
- Natural variability of the climate system on sub-seasonal to interannual
timescales
- Mechanisms of interannual variability and predictability of the Asian Summer
Monsoon
- Applications of seasonal prediction in the tropics, with particular reference
to monsoon climates
